2027 Wall Calendars

There are two calendars in this collection, and both are about birds and Zimbabwe. One shows the birds through painting and the other through photography.

(i’m)migration brings together twelve paintings by Zimbabwean artist Joshua Strydom. Most of the birds come from his ongoing series on borders, belonging and what home means once you’ve moved between countries. Each one is built up feather by feather in acrylic and charcoal. Two works from outside the series are included as well: Ukuthandwa, a cow among oversized fuchsias, and Hwenyati, a herd of buffalo painted from photographs taken in the Zambezi Valley.

Birds of Matetsi is twelve photographs by Juanita Strydom, who lives in Matetsi Unit 6, near Victoria Falls. These are the birds she lives alongside, photographed through the dry months and the rains.

Both calendars are printed to order on 250 gsm silk-coated paper, wire-bound with a hanger.
