Overton- Digital Collage - Museum-Quality Matte Paper Poster

Overton Park, in Memphis Tennessee became a daily joy for me while I was in College... Having grown up in Zimbabwe, I only had an experiential understanding of summer and winter. During my college years in Memphis, I learned the joy of autumn and the pain of winter. 

This artwork is a digital collage created using many photographs of the Overton Park forest in the late Autumn, the warm toned and crunch leaves on the ground became a new fascination to me, I discovered a child-like joy in bounding through the forest, experiencing the seasonal textures and colours of nature, and seeing a string horizontal sunlight that comes in this season. Some things seem small when they are familiar, but to me, this newness was a true wonder.
