This is Liberty Island and The Statue Of Liberty the title is "Cynthia" named after the voice that guided me around the Cooper Colossus.. I experienced what is possibly the hottest day of my life while adventuring around the worn pathways in the ceremonial march of understanding liberty, and its evolution into freedom and "The American Dream". 

The story behind this artwork is a brave one, of long lineage and family ties.. My great-grandparents came to the USA via ship into Ellis Island about 100 years ago, and my grandmother was born in Long Island and then moved to the Czech Republic and then to Zimbabwe.

I wandered around the immigration museum and listened to the stories of people struggling to gain entry, others offered a chance at the highest quality of life of the period and walked the steps my family did all those years ago.. I am not American by any means, but the ideal of freedom, opportunity and the pursuit of happiness reign supreme in the wake of this monument; and through this artwork. I am a part of it; even if only for a moment.
