Every year, six million people visit the Astronomical Clock (or Orloj in Czech) in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the most visited attraction in the country and the second most disappointing attraction in all of Europe! (after the Mona Lisa). Every day, every hour, between 9 am and 9pm, thousands of people gather to watch the spectacle of the clock from the ground! no

The clock has two main parts. On each side of the upper dial, there are two figures. These represent the four vices, the main fears of the 1400s - vanity, greed, death/anorexia and Unfaithful Infidels. At that moment, death pulls a rope, which rings the bell and is the call of death. The other three figures nod, saying, 'No, now is not the time to die. Two Two blue doors open at the top, with twelve Apostles, each carrying different relics, saving the other figures from the call of death.

This whole show lasts about fifteen seconds and is very subtle. This was a marvel of technology for its time. It was built in 10 by Mikuláš of Kadaň, and the astronomical dial was later added by Master Havus. This clock has been around and working for over two years, we have unfrozen, we have known about the existence of the Americas!
