Birds migrate out of instinct and necessity, crossing borders that mean nothing to them in search of safety, warmth, and survival. So do we. The work draws the line between the two, asking what it means to move toward safety, toward love, toward peace, and what it means when that movement is blocked.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eEach bird in the series began somewhere real. I photographed them in different countries around the world, drew them individually, and brought them together into flocks across cyanotype prints, paintings, and works on fabric. The cyanotypes are made by hand here in Lisbon, exposed in the sun, no ink and no machine, just chemistry, light, and time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eThis is the work closest to my own story. No ink, no machine. Just chemistry, light, and time. Because each print is controlled by the intensity of the sun and the conditions of the atmosphere at the moment of exposure, every one is slightly different.
