Crazy Carmine Scarf

100% Silk Scarf, 10"x56" Hand Printed

Along the banks of the mighty Zambezi river near the world heritage site Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, these beautiful birds nest in the muddy bank walls where they make their homes for the breeding season. They create a rhythmic and beautiful flurry of brilliant red as they dive and dance among their nests feeding their young in the setting sun. These patterns are inspired by this flurry of the Carmine Bee Eaters in the golden light of the end of day.

Original watercolor painting by Tracey Ann Alexander, hand printed by Joshua Strydom
